LOS ANGELES March 1, 2019 – Professional photographer Sheyla Paz Hicks of Cuba/USA was presented with the 12th Annual International Color Awards Nominee title in the category of People at a prestigious Nomination & Winners Photoshow streamed Saturday, March 9, 2019. 

The live online gala was attended by 11,829 photography fans around the globe who logged on to watch the climax of the industry’s most important event for color photography. 12th Annual Jury members included captains of the industry from Sotheby’s, New York; Benetton, Ponzano Veneto; The Art Channel, London; Kolle Rebbe, Hamburg; Droga5, New York; Preus Museum, Norway; Art Beatus, Hong Kong; Forsman & Bodenfors, Gothenburg; Wieden & Kennedy, Portland; Fox Broadcasting Network, Los Angeles; Gallery Kong, Seoul; and Phillips, New York who honored Color Masters with 761 title awards and 1,032 nominees in 37 categories.

The live online gala was attended by over 12,500 photography fans around the globe who logged on to watch the climax of the industry’s most important event for color photography. 11th Annual Jury members included captains of the industry from Christie’s, Paris; Grey Group, New York; The Art Channel, London; Ogilvy & Mather, Amsterdam; Publicis Conseil, Paris; Preus Museum, Norway; Art Beatus, Hong Kong; Netflix, Los Angeles; Whitechapel Gallery, London; and Phillips, New York who honored Color Masters with 709 title awards and 730 nominees in 33 categories.

Sheyla Paz en el TV show Panorama

En el segmento de Nuestra Gente de Panorama hablamos con la artista Cubana y productora de cine y tv, Sheyla Paz, con el artista Colombiano Jorge Yances sobre la exhibición de Cuba Aquí y Ahora, y con la directora de mercadeo del Hispanic Family Foundation, Diana Perez.

En el momento que grabamos este programa la exhibición de Cuba aun estaba disponible, desafortunadamente la exhibición ya ha cerrado, y el artista Jorge Yances ya no es director de exhibiciones de la Galería de Arte Ceiba en Plaza Mariachi.
